Ceramic encapsulated heating element maintains its helix shape and uniform coil for long tool life. Use for curing, bending and shaping plastics, wire harnessing, thermoplastic welding and with solder sleeve splicing devices and shrink tube insulators. 12.5A. Variable temperature from 90°-1050°F. Digital LED readout monitors temperature in 10° increments. Removable air filter keeps debris out. Thermal protection automatically maintains set temperature to prevent overheating. Pads on the back cap and lower handle let you use gun in a stationary, upright position. Double insulated. Accessory Assortment includes Air Reduction (for soldering or intensifying heat to a specific area), Hook Nozzle (for surround-bending, soldering pipe or shrinking tubing), Deflector (keeps heat away from glass when stripping paint or softening putty), and Air Spreader (intensifies heat for removing floor coverings, paint burning and vinyl top removal).
