High-Quality, Affordable Borosilicate Glass

Clear glass stands up to repeated sterilization, extreme high temperatures and thermal shock from sudden temperature changes. Manufactured from low-alkali, Type 3.3 borosilicate glass, these Tubes are virtually free of magnesia-lime-zinc group and are completely free of arsenic and other heavy metals.

Low-expansion glass withstands temperatures up to 932°F (500°C). Minute surface scratches can reduce thermal resistance. Highly resistant to water, neutral and acid solutions, concentrated acids and their mixtures, plus chlorine, bromine, iodine and organic matters. Chemical resistance exceeds most metals and other materials during extended periods of reactions and at temperatures above 212°F (100°C). Colorless glass shows no noticeable absorption in the visible region of the spectrum.
