Time-tested Scott features plus innovations-integrated carrying handles, buddy indicator light, drag rescue loop, angled mechanical gauge with edge lighting, and simplified central power management system with a single battery module-help you comply with new NFPA standards. Both models have a streamlined back frame that provides a lower profile and allows greater freedom of movement with less fatigue and better hose management. The single-piece frame is made from lightweight aluminum alloy. Weight is carried on the hips where padded wrap-around wings provide comfortable support, and distributed over shoulders and hips with wide-bodied pads. Reflective front patches enhance night visibility. Cam-over center slide accommodates 30-, 45- and 60-min. cylinders. An enhanced latching system with durable para-aramid fabric band makes changes quick and efficient. Parachute-style harness fasteners adjust smoothly but keep straps secure. The oversized fasteners are easy to work, even with gloved hands. A one-finger release disengages belt buckle. With two interconnected pressure reducers, any reduction in primary pressure triggers an automatic transfer to the secondary circuit while a vibrating alarm alerts the user, allowing a timely exit the hazardous area. A simplified central battery module holds six standard AA batteries in the housing. The control console contains a constant-on edge-lit light for the pressure gauge that comes on when the cylinder valve is opened. A photo-sensitive diode automatically dims and brightens the heads-up display as light conditions change. Made in the USA. The NxG7 also includes a Snap-Change™ quick cylinder change out, a hip-mounted pressure reducer and hip-mounted rapid intervention connection.
