Troemner Precision Stainless Steel Weights w/o NIST

Manufactured to meet the most exacting requirements for accuracy and appearance. Made from a new austenitic stainless steel alloy available only from Troemner. This steel has closely controlled density, extremely low magnetic permeability, good stability and resistance to corrosion and handling damage. (All masses smaller than 50mg are made of aluminum.) Available with two levels of certification: Statement of Accuracy and NIST Traceable Certificate for basic documentation requirements. Choose from three weight tolerances. UltraClass weights have tolerances 40% to 50% greater than ASTM Class 1 for the most demanding calibration needs. Designed for highly precise applications and for use as reference standards for calibrating other weights. Use on microbalances and high-precision balances. ASTM Class 1weights can be used as a reference standard in calibrating other weights and are appropriate for calibrating high-precision analytical balances with a readability as low as 0.1mg to 0.01mg. Use ASTM Class 4 weights for calibration of semi-analytical balances and for student use.
Specifications: One gram and above weights are cylindrical in shape with a knob on top for easy handling with forceps and lifters. 500mg and below weights are flat with one side turned up for easy gripping with forceps. Cylindrical weights are designed so that the bottoms are slightly recessed to expose the smallest possible areas to wear. All surfaces are polished to a perfect, mirror-like finish. All Weight Sets are marked with serial number, accuracy class and date of calibration. Forceps are included. Weight sets 200g and higher come in sturdy oak cases. Sets 100g and lower come in rugged poly-propylene cases.
