E-Copywriter/SEO Web Specialist
The E-Copywriter position works with marketing (business units, product managers and account managers) and e-commerce teams to develop strategic implementation plans and conceptualize and define content that will advance the company’s merchandising, business, marketing and branding objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develops SEO-friendly web content to include strategic key-phrase placement within compelling marketing copy that maximizes opportunities for indexing, ranking, click-throughs and conversion.
- Writes edits and maintains unique copy for web site pages on multiple branded sites that incorporates primary and secondary terms into the copy.
- Conducts keyword research and competitive research to target popular and highly converting keywords.
- Active in execution of brand voice in all marketing materials to ensure consistent brand execution.
- Executes all projects per brand requirements.
- Brainstorms additional content components to enhance the user experience and increase organic search engine traffic.
- Ensures all electronic marketing communications are influential, accurate, useful, reader-friendly sales tools that support marketing campaigns.
- Researches and stays current on leading edge SEO copy techniques.
- Writes web site content that engages and converts readers.
Technical Requirements:
- Researches, explores and stays current on best practices in online and SEO content.
- Background in successful writing of branded web and marketing copy.
- Demonstrates proficiency of keyword research/methodology and its application to SEO.
- Ability to write results-driven copy while maintaining brand messaging, persuasiveness and readability.
- Thorough understanding of rules of grammar, punctuation, proofreading symbols.
- Working knowledge of industry for each of our brands.
- Basic understanding of SEO on-page elements (title, meta, etc.)
- Working knowledge of systems for in-house media development (e.g. Mac, asset management databases, web development and workflows).
- Working knowledge of html, QuarkXPress, In Design, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work in deadline-driven environment and handle multiple (often conflicting) priorities at the same time.
- Excellent project management skills.
Requirements:
- A Bachelors degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, English, Marketing Communications or the equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years web content copywriting experience utilizing keyword research tools.
- Experience in a multi-branded web environment preferred.

Information Architect
Will analyze user requirements and procedures to architect and implement PeopleSoft’s web-based ERP systems technology and business applications such as Oracle Databases, Tuxedo Application Servers, and Weblogic; will coordinate with applications development team to ensure adherence to standards, procedures, and integration of systems through database design of PeopleSoft’s web-based ERP systems technology and business applications; will provide support for database changes across all projects and review data collection procedures; will install upgrades and patches to existing databases; act as liaison between business development, sales and engineering in providing visibility and alignment to customer needs throughout the organization; will make architecture design decisions for project teams, and will ensure those decisions are consistent with the long-term architectural design; responsible to manage implementation, including systems set-up, data integration, and performance tuning; will use PeopleSoft Administration skills and Oracle DBA skills to install, configure, and debug PeopleSoft Applications 8.0 and higher; and will troubleshoot and analyze issues related to Process Schedulers, Applications Servers, Integration Broker (Application Messaging) and Web Server.
Requires: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field and six (6) months experience in Software Architecture. 40 hrs/wk (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) $27.07 per hour. WEB DEVELOPER
Put your e-commerce experience to work for a progressive company that has an on-site fitness center, cafeteria and health care center. Lab Safety Supply is looking for a Web Developer. This position has a number of responsibilities including the development of applications and on-going technical support for all e-com-related projects; provide technical consultation in new systems development, evaluation of new packages and enhancement of existing systems. You will participate in technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of e-com projects and enhancements, assist in the planning, installation, implementation, administration and monitoring of the e-com infrastructure and development environments. In addition you will support and troubleshoot e-com-related applications and maintain an understanding of current and emerging e-com-related technologies.
The Web Developer position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, three to five years’ experience in software development, installation and modification in an on-line environment—with at least two years’ experience in Web-related development. Microsoft certification is desired. The successful candidate must have good oral and written communication, organizational, prioritization and follow-up skills, a broad awareness of basic Internet, intranet and WWW technologies, including: Inter-, intra- and extranet tools; Web installation, configuration and performance management; Web navigation, content, linking and browser tuning; Web security, firewalls and encryption. Working knowledge and skills in: Asp.Net, HTML, SQL, XML, Web Services, Windows ™ Server, IIS, Visual Basic, VBScript, ASP, Visual Studio in addition to working knowledge of at least one RDBMS (MS SQL Server preferred) with database/Web connectivity. Knowledge of Endeca, STEP, Omniture, or Yesmail would be a plus.

WEB CONTENT ASSOCIATE
Lab Safety Supply is looking for a Web Content Associate. Put your e-commerce experience to work for a progressive company that has an on-site fitness center, cafeteria and health care center. This position supports web content production and maintenance for web design, email, and graphics for the GIS and Specialty brand websites.
Responsibilities:
• Maintains all marketing related site content for multiple public-facing websites
• Works cross-functionally with other departments, including IT, Brand Management and Direct Marketing, to coordinate content maintenance on all other areas of the website
Investigates and proposes new content and new content types to enhance the website
• Responsible for development, quality assurance and support of company Web sites, e-mail campaigns and other online promotional initiatives while insuring consistent brand voice is consistent.
• Duties include creating, editing and maintaining Web graphics and managing Web site change requests.
• Develop and maintain web publishing system/schedule, including checking currency, accuracy, quality and availability of content. Enhance/automate the processes for updating and archiving.
• Identify and develop e-commerce opportunities that drive internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Work cross-functionally to improve the customer experience on the Web site and identify opportunities to increase Web site conversion and revenue.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to define site user experience.
• Work with E-Com Shared Service Group to implement regular updates; implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) programs, monitor rankings and calculate ROI
• Remain current and have a thorough understanding of marketing principles, technologies and best practices to assure favorable online user experiences. Stay abreast of Web design, Web development, Web standards, emerging technologies, multimedia tools and techniques.
Position Requirements:
• Degree in Web Design, Web Development, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Visual Arts related field or comparable work experience.
• Two+ years web design and development experience.
• Experience managing online content through a content management system (CMS)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor content for accuracy and integrity
• Understanding of HTML and CSS principles
• Knowledge and experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
• Understand standards compliant site design and Web 2.0 concepts.
• Working knowledge and experience with Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver.
• Expert computer skills (Mac and PC)
• Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
