Kestrel® Pocket Wind Meters

Kestrel 4500 (No. 138692) has all the functions of the Kestrel 4000 plus a built-in digital compass to measure wind direction. The unit calculates crosswind and headwind/tailwind with reference to a user-set target heading. Then it stores the data, along with all the other environmental readings, in its 1400 data-point memory.
All models have impellers that can be replaced without tools, are waterproof and float. Neck lanyard and outer protective case included. Nos. 125013–125015 also include slip-on hard cover, adjustable lanyard and battery. Ultralight anodized aluminum Replacement Impeller (No. 110961) can be field-installed without tools.

Kestrel K1000 (No. 125013) is tough, accurate and affordable. Easy to use—simply hold it up to measure wind speed. Tracks maximum and average wind speeds along with current readings.
Kestrel K2000 (No. 125014) measures wind speeds like the K1000 and adds temperature and wind chill readings in °F or °C. Fast-responding thermistor records temperatures accurate to ±1°C. Calculates wind chill from wind and temperature data using the U.S. National Weather Service’s official tables.
Kestrel K2500 (No. 125140) has an easy-to-use altimeter and three-hour pressure trend. It measures wind speed, maximum wind gust, average wind speed, air, water and snow temperature, wind chill, barometric pressure and altitude.
Kestrel K3000 (No. 125015) measures wind speed plus temperature, humidity, relative humidity, wind chill, dew point and the heat stress index. Will measure the slightest breeze (0.3m/s).
Kestrel K3500 (No. 125141) features all of the measurements of the Kestrel K3000 and adds barometric pressure, altitude and wet bulb temperature.
Kestrel 4000 features all of the measurements of the Kestrel K3500 plus a chart mode to recall and graph up to 250 measurements with the date and time of storage. Choose from Gray (No. 110968) or Orange (No. 102504).
Kestrel 4000NV (No. 136770) is an olive drab version with a red backlight.
