Tornado
Be ready at a moment's notice.
Tornadoes are capable of generating wind speeds in excess of 250
miles per hour. Winds of this magnitude have been known to leave
a path of destruction a mile wide and 75 miles long. Typically,
in the U.S., tornadoes strike during the spring and summer months
in areas east of the Rocky Mountains. However, these natural disasters
can occur in just about any area where a warm mass of moist air
is advanced by a cold front. The effects of these disasters are
immediate and devastating and demand careful planning that can be
implemented at a moment’s notice.
