Station turns power to its heating element on and off automatically for precise temperature at the soldering tip.
Specifications: Transformer powered soldering station (No. 50486) comes complete with macro style, low voltage, temperature controlled soldering iron. Power unit housing features impact resistant plastic for durability. Quick disconnect plug for soldering iron and lighted on/off switch. Separate conductor grounds iron tip and terminates at third pin of power cord. Replacement Soldering Tips (Nos. 50488-50495) made specifically for "closed loop" temperature control are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. These precision ground Tips are solid copper, plated with iron, nickel and chromium for maximum heat transfer from heater to tip.
