Industrial Plastic Belt-Driven Fans
Offer Excellent Chemical Resistance to Most Corrosive and Chemical Gas StreamsIndustrial-grade fans (blowers) commonly used for research, lab fume hoods, acid pickling baths, electronic and chip making, chemical manufacturing and storage, electroplating, waste water, pharma-labs and very humid and salt-air gas streams. Solid polypropylene construction won’t absorb moisture over time the way a fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) fan will. Plus, there’s no coating on fan material that can be eaten away or chipped away. Belt-Driven Fans feature quality craftsmanship and proven technology, made under ISO 9001 standards, to combine reliability with long life and efficiency for lower operating costs. Designed with a solid polypropylene radial impeller with clockwise or counterclockwise rotation. 20 forward-curved streamlined blades are injected molded of polypropylene, so there’s no metal in the air stream. Other features include: carbon steel shaft, sleeved inlet and outlet, housing drain, weather cover and permanently lubricated flange bearings. Totally-enclosed and fan-cooled, three-phase motor: 208–230/460V. Fans come assembled with belt drives with Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) or UL listed Explosionproof (XP) motors. Polypropylene Transition Flanges are made specifically for the Industrial Plastic Fans. You can then bolt this Flange to a standard-size PVC flange which is attached to your PVC ductwork or stack piece. Note: DO NOT use with perchloric, chromic, nitric acid or chlorine gas streams or with solvents or volatile organic compounds where “sparkless” applications are called for.
