This system has the features you need. There’s a direct connection between the power supply and the gel box--no leads are needed. It’s multi-channel compatible. It also uses an intelligent power supply that has a timer and alarm to cut power when run time is over. An innovative safety lid with photosensors detects if the lid is in place. If the lid is not in place, or if it is removed during a run, the power supply will not operate.
Specifications: Gel XL Ultra V-2 is designed for the separation of nucleic acids in agarose gels. Gel capacity of one large, two small and one extra-long. All components for casting and running horizontal gels are supplied, including gel casting sets, migration tank and power supply. All casting sets are self-sealing. Gel trays include a dark strip at the top for easier sample loading plus migration lines for keeping track of the run. Digital timer allows 5–99-minute operation and has an audible alert. Seven output voltage settings--18, 25, 35, 50, 70, 100 or 135V--allow you to optimize separation conditions. Overall dimensions are 2.4"H x 9.8"W x 6.4"D. System includes gel tank with safety lid, power supply and standard casting set. Standard Casting Set includes casting stand, two gel trays (12 x 13cm and 6 x 13cm) and four dual-format multi-channel pipette-compatible combs. Micro Casting Set is for four gels and includes casting stand, four gel trays (5.2 x 6cm) and four dual-format combs.
