These bags accelerate the destaining process by absorbing the stain as it leaches from the gel. After destaining, the bags can be discarded and the destaining solution reused.
Specifications: Activated charcoal Gel-Destaining Bags efficiently absorb Coomassie blue and other biological dyes. They can also be used to eliminate ethidium bromide, a potentially mutagenic carcinogen, from nucleic acid staining solutions.
