Hematoxylin, Gill I, II, III
|
Gill I is a progressive nuclear stain that uses sodium iodate as the oxidizing agent. Contains acetic acid and is mainly used in cytology. Gill II is the same as Gill I, except it’s twice the strength. May be used for progressive or regressive staining in cytology and histology. Gill III is triple the strength of Gill I and may be used for routine tissue specimens and glycol and methylmethacrylate sections. Use for regressive staining.
