New Screw-Caps for Tubes Now Available Premium quality tubes have uniform bottoms and consistent lengths. Offer excellent chemical resistance against sodium leaching---a factor common in soda lime glass products. Specifications: Get the best all-around chemical durability of commercial glasses available for laboratory ware with these borosilicate glass KIMAX-51 tubes. Nos. 41096 and 41097 are suitable for cell washing procedures. Nos. 77158-77163 are suitable for tissue culture work and general bacteriological use. Each tube has a chevron marking area. Supplied without caps. Tubes are packed in trays for convenient use on benchtops and in drawers. Trays are shrink-wrapped in plastic film to keep tubes in constant alignment for protection against in-transit breakage and contamination. Economical KIM-KAP™ polypropylene closures keep the tube's contents sterile without cotton plugging. KIM-KAPs can be removed and replaced without contaminating the contents. Color: natural. Screw-Caps for Tubes (Nos. 77164-77169) are made of a special phenolic material resistant to the effects of temperature and steam encountered in autoclaving. Cemented-in rubber lining provided for Nos. 77164-77166. Cemented-in polytetra-fluoroethylene (PTFE) faced rubber liner is provided for Nos. 77167-77169. All Screw-Caps for Tubes are sold separately. Compliance: Nos. 41096C-41105C meet ASTM Specification E438, Type I, Class B glass requirements. Nos. 77158-77163 meet ASTM Specification E438, Type I, Class A or B glass requirements.
