Infectious Substances Shipper includes a flexible foam insert with four pre-drilled holes to hold four 10mL sterile glass tubes (glass tubes not included) with rubber stoppers, a screw-cap aluminum can measuring 3"-dia. x 6"L, foam container of molded high-density expanded polystyrene, a corrugated carton, a clear plastic press-lock bag, an absorbent pad and easy-to-follow instructions. Use with the Insulated Overpack to ensure cool transport. Overpack body and lid are made of expanded polystyrene foam and include an outer shell of 200-lb. test corrugated fiberboard. Shipping infectious substances requires proper DOT labeling. And, when using an overpack, overpack labels are necessary. See full requirements in 49 CFR.
