Radiation Alert® Dosimeter
Just clip this handy dosimeter to your pocket to measure total radiation exposure. The charger allows you to charge a variety of quartz and carbon fiber dosimeters of various lengths by simply pulling a lever.
Specifications: Dosimeter directly measures accumulated dose or quantity of gamma and x-ray exposure from 0-200 mR. Accuracy: ±10% of true dose for Cs-137 or Co-60 gamma. Energy dependence: ±10% maximum change in sensitivity for X-ray and gamma ray energies from 30 keV to 1.25 MeV. Compact unit is 4-1/2 in. L x 3 /5 in. dia. and weighs only 0.7 oz. Charger is powered by a 15,000V piezoelectric generator regulated to 250V by a discharge bulb. Bulb provides a flash to ensure the charger is working properly. Stainless steel clamping mechanism holds the dosimeter for you while charging.
