RS-232 Hard-Wired Weather Station Includes sensors for air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, rainfall, solar radiation, wind direction and wind speed. The sensors are contained in a protective case that also houses the on-board microprocessor, rechargeable battery pack and spread spectrum radio transceiver. An internal datalogger records up to three weeks of hourly data.
Barometric pressure sensor is piezoresistive transducer with range of 4.43-33.96" Hg and resolution of ±0.443" Hg or ±1.5 kPa (0°-88°C). Wind speed sensor is cup anemometer. 1.75 mph threshold and ±1 mph accuracy. Wind direction sensor is vane with 360° mechanical, 352° electrical range. 1% resolution. Relative humidity sensor is precision, temperature-corrector bulk polymer with accuracy of ±5% (90-100% RH); ±3% (10-95% RH). Solar radiation sensor is silicon pyranometer with spectral range of 300-1100nm, 0.25mV/1000W/m2 approx. sensitivity and ±2.5% accuracy. Temperature sensor is thermistor with -40° to 122°F range and ±0.9°F accuracy. Rain gauge sensor is a Tipping Bucket with 0.04"/tip resolution and 7.75 sq. in. orifice.
The battery is recharged using the AC Converter (No. 111376) or the 5W Solar Panel Kit (No. 111378), both sold separately.
